Becoming a Member: Becoming a member of a church follows the example set in the New Testament (Acts 2:41-47; Acts 6:3; Hebrews 13:17). In 1 Corinthians 12, Paul calls the church a body. Like a body, a church has many members—many people (1 Cor. 12:14). Church membership is simply a biblical expression of our connection to The Church of Christ. Our desire is to have a functioning church body that is fully equipped and ready to engage our community with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
How do I become a member of Westside Baptist Church? To become a member you need to:
Have personally trusted in Jesus Christ as your Savior.
Have been baptized by immersion after your salvation.
Speak with a member of the Pastoral Staff regarding Membership
If you have never personally trusted in Jesus Christ as your Savior, we would love to have the opportunity to speak with you and show you how you can know you are going to Heaven. Email the church office with your full name, your question, and how we can contact you, and we will be in touch soon. You can also stop by the church during business hours Tuesday through Friday and a member of our ministerial staff would be delighted to speak with you.
